Polyester FRP molding processing equipment is simple, easy to operate, and various methods. The foreign FRP forming process has developed rapidly. In addition to the traditional hand-paste method, the winding method, the molding method, and the new processes such as cold pressing and injection molding developed on this basis have also developed rapidly. Due to the different conditions in different countries, the proportion of various processing methods is also different.
The choice of FRP forming method depends on various factors such as the shape, size, required strength, quantity of production, processing capacity, price, and mold cost. Countries have their own characteristics in terms of molding methods. The countries that still use the hand-paste method are Japan, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, etc.; the countries that use the jet method are the United States and Sweden; the pressure-based method is West Germany.
Domestic FRP hand paste method accounts for about 90%. Because this method is easy to operate, it has less equipment to be used, the molding cost is low, and the design of the changed product is easy, and it is suitable for the local law. This year, the relevant domestic units have conducted systematic research on the mechanization and automation of FRP molding, and have made gratifying progress.
The Beijing 251 Factory has successfully developed a 2,000-ton/year SMC production unit; the Shanghai Yaohua Glass Factory has produced a 600 ton/year corrugated tile continuous forming unit. These new molding methods have been successfully researched. Not only will it promote the further development of China's FRP industry, but also play a huge role in promoting the polyester industry in China.
