Raw material selection of Epoxy Resin Composite Extruded profile

    Epoxy resin composite extruded profile is an important variety of FRP profiles with excellent strength properties. The commonly used epoxy resin is bisphenol A epoxy resin such as NPEL-128,NPEL-127,NPEL-901,NPEL-144, and the commonly used curing agent is dicarboxylic anhydride and aromatic amine with high solubility and high melting point. Imidazole curing agents can also be used, such as m-phenylenediamine, phthalic anhydride, tetrachlorophthalic anhydride, methylidene tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (MNA), etc. 

    According to the special needs of properties, such as mechanical properties, heat resistance, fatigue life and electrical properties, we will also choose special epoxy resin and curing agent. 

The powder fillers commonly used in epoxy resin extrusion profiles are SiO2, CaCO3, talc powder, silica fume powder, TiO2 and so on. Flame retardant in addition to flame retardant resin and flame retardant curing agent, but also active and inactive flame retardant such as tetrabromobisphenol A, aqueous alumina, etc. The pigment is usually inorganic pigment, the dosage is 0.555%. It should be prepared into a solution or paste before use.

 

Extrusion process of epoxy resin composites: 
    Epoxy resin extruded profiles are mainly used for products with high mechanical properties and heat resistance. The pultrusion process is to extrude the continuous glass fiber bundles impregnated with resin glue and other continuous reinforcement materials such as glass cloth tape and polyester surface felt under traction, through the extrusion of the molding die. And the method of forming FRP profile by heating in mold and curing furnace. Also known as continuous pultrusion molding process. The main production pipe, bar, profile, plate and other FRP profiles. The requirements of pultrusion molding process for resin glue are as follows: low viscosity, easy to infiltrate reinforced material, long gel time (usually more than 8 hours), fast curing to meet the requirements of continuous molding, good adhesion and low curing shrinkage. Flexibility is good, the product is not easy to produce cracks. 
    The advantages of pultrusion process are simple equipment, low cost, high productivity, easy to form automatic production line, stable product quality, high mechanical properties, especially longitudinal strength and modulus. The effective utilization rate of raw materials is high, basically no edge and corner waste; the longitudinal and transverse strength of profiles can be adjusted to meet different requirements; its length can be cut as needed.
