What is the difference between FRP and toughened glass.

Oct 11, 2019

Toughened glass belongs to safety glass. It is a reinforced version of glass, or it has the properties of ordinary glass. It has the characteristics of high impact strength, high bending strength, dispersed fine particles, and so on. FRP is a composite material that can be reprocessed, while toughened glass can no longer be reprocessed.

Carbon fiber is also a composite material, but the price is much more expensive than fiberglass, so carbon fiber is much better than fiberglass. Carbon fiber is "soft and rigid". Carbon fiber is a new reinforcement material. Carbon fiber is lighter in weight, higher in strength and stronger in toughness than fiberglass. The deformation resistance of carbon fiber is three times that of FRP, and its corrosion resistance is more prominent, which is similar on the surface, so some products in the market use FRP as carbon fiber.

With the characteristics of sun protection and strong quality, the products made of FRP have bright appearance, bright color, easy processing, stainless steel and are well recognized by the market. According to statistics, there are more than 40,000 kinds of FRP products developed in the world at present. After more than 40 years of development, China's FRP industry has been widely used in various fields and has played an important role in economic construction.
