The addition of glass flakes has caused two changes in the coating. First, it can be processed to be thick without worrying about cracks. This is because the glass flakes divide the coating into many small spaces and greatly reduce the shrinkage of the coating. The glass scales used in coatings have a fish scale effect: thousands of scales are staggered to form a complex and tortuous infiltration and diffusion path in the coating, which makes the diffusion path of the corrosive medium become quite tortuous and difficult to reach the substrate.
