According to media reports, on December 30, 2019, a 4-seat fixed-wing aircraft with independent intellectual property rights jointly developed by Chongqing General Aviation Group and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, CG231, made its maiden flight at Longxing General Airport in Chongqing Liangjiang New District.

  CG231 is the first all-glass fiber composite 4-seater fixed-wing aircraft in China. The aircraft adopts a single-wing layout, optional Continental CD-155/Lycoming IO-360 engine, and integrated integrated display system. The aircraft has a wingspan of 11.18 meters, a take-off weight of 1184 kg, a maximum cruising range of 1,600 kilometers, a maximum level flight speed of 280 km/h, a ceiling of more than 6,000 meters, a takeoff roll distance of less than 300 meters, and a landing roll distance of only It takes 150 meters.

  CG231 can be used in pilot training, police patrols, sightseeing travel, experience flight, aerial photography and other fields, with perfect flight quality and aesthetic comfort. The CG231 aircraft is very convenient to use and maintain. The expected price will not exceed 2 million yuan, which is extremely competitive in the market.

At the beginning of its design, CG231 formulated the design idea of "one aircraft, multiple models, series development". In the future, Chongqing General Aviation Group will use CG231 as the platform to conduct research and development of seaplanes through serial development and improvement to realize this model. The serialization of development.

CG231 is also the first domestic composite material to be used on an all-composite aircraft in China. It has received strong support from the Airworthiness Certification Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Southwest Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau. It has entered the Type Certificate (TC) of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Review procedures.
