During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, basic research in China's coatings industry should strengthen existing advantages and cultivate new advantages in the fields of coating application basic theory, new raw materials, advanced equipment and automation technology, and coating evaluation technology. The landmark results of the advanced level have greatly improved the overall level of basic research in the paint industry.
The focus is on systematic research on coating formulation design theory, coating film forming mechanism and film forming dynamics, coating rheological behavior, coating protection mechanism, and coating functional characteristics mechanism.
