3. The industrial products of ion exchange resins often contain a few low polymers and monomers that do not participate in the reaction, and also contain inorganic impurities such as iron, lead, copper, etc. When the resin touches water, acid, alkali or other solutions, the above The substance will be transferred into the solution, affecting the quality of the effluent. Therefore, the new resin is pretreated before use. Generally, the resin is first swelled with water, and then the inorganic impurities (mainly iron compounds) can be used 4- 5% dilute hydrochloric acid can be removed, organic impurities can be removed with 2-4% dilute sodium hydroxide solution, and it can be washed to near neutral. If it is used in the preparation of medicine, it must be soaked with ethanol.


4. In the application of resin, avoid touching with metal (such as iron, copper, etc.) oil stains, organic molecular microorganisms, strong oxidants, etc., so as not to cause ion exchange to decline, or even lose its function. Generally, the cation resin is susceptible to Fe pollution during softening. It can be soaked with hydrochloric acid and then gradually diluted. The anion resin is susceptible to organic pollution. 10%NaC1+2-5%NaOH can be used. When the mixed solution is soaked or rinsed, it can be soaked in 1% hydrogen peroxide solution for several minutes. Others can also use acid-base replacement treatment, bleaching treatment, alcohol treatment and various sterilization methods.


5.
