  Currently, the sealing strip market is mainly based on modified PVC, vulcanized EPDM (epdm) and thermoplastic EPDM (epdm/pp) strips.

  1. The price of modified PVC strips is relatively low. Due to the different quality, the price is generally between 6000 yuan and 15000 yuan/ton. Due to the use of waste materials, alternative plasticizers and high filling levels, the low-end products make the rubber strips less elastic, prone to stiffness, pungent smell, easy to migrate, yellowing the frame material, and having a short service life. A few door and window enterprises that are in low-level price competition are still using it. The middle and high-end PVC adhesive strips can reach the standard index, and the service life is relatively longer. At present, there are quite a few door and window companies in our city.

   Because PVC products contain halogens and heavy metals in stabilizers, it is not conducive to environmental protection. Therefore, developed countries and domestic and Beijing and coastal cities have eliminated or restricted the use of PVC strips. At present, some enterprises in our city have begun to upgrade to use EPDM seals.

      2. The vulcanized EPDM rubber sealing strip is much stronger than the PVC rubber strip in terms of sealing elastic durability, but due to the need for microwave vulcanization line setting, the processing energy consumption is high, usually more than 20 times that of PVC processing, and the product cannot be reused , Not environmentally friendly, not a product advocated by the state. In addition, the material proportion of this type of product (more than 1.4) is equivalent to that of PVC (the proportion of low-end vulcanized EPDM rubber strips is greater). The window output rate is similar to that of PVC rubber strips. The use cost is relatively high, which is difficult for door and window companies to accept. .

  3. Thermoplastic EPDM rubber sealing strip is a new material developed in recent years from the introduction of foreign technology and domestic independent research and development. It is mainly used for automobile door and window sealing strips. In recent years, it has been used in building door and window sealing strips. Its outstanding advantages are:

  ①Performance and service life are equivalent to vulcanized EPDM rubber sealing strips.

  ②Processing energy consumption is low compared to vulcanized EPDM rubber strips (equivalent to PVC).

   ③ It does not contain heavy metals such as halogen and lead, and can be recycled after several years, which meets the requirements of green building materials.

   ④ The specific gravity is small (only 0.9-9.95) and the window exit rate is high. It seems that the purchase price is high and the actual cost is low. In recent years, this product has developed extremely rapidly in the use of architectural doors and windows.
